PUBLIC ART PROGRAM DIRECTOR POSITION OPEN AT MSAC
The Maryland Department of Business and Economic Development is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Program Director within its Division of Tourism, Film and the Arts, Maryland State Arts Council (MSAC). The primary responsibilities of this position will be to administer the MSAC’s Public Art program.
Program duties include development of policies and guidelines for the implementation of the state’s public art program; management of public art projects from the initial point of contact with client to the final installation of project; private and public resource development; contract management, collections management, and technical assistance.
Candidates must possess strong written, oral communications, and interpersonal skills to work with high level public and private sector officials. The ability to handle multiple, concurrent and high priority tasks is required. Candidates must also have experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Access and/or other relevant software. Candidate must also be knowledgeable of the current trends, practices and philosophies related to public art programming.
Candidates must possess a bachelor's degree (B.A.) in an arts discipline from a four year college or university and a minimum of four years experience in administrative staff or professional work with a public art program. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be accepted.
SALARY RANGE: $42,891 – 68,664
