Professional design teams sought for Maryland 9/11 Memorial project.
Request for Qualifications (RFQ) Deadline: November 22, 2010

Selection of a team will be based on a list of criteria including design excellence, innovation and aesthetic sensibility based on past work; work samples in the context of the site; capacity for community engagement; and ability to create a memorial of lasting significance for Maryland. The Maryland Commission on Public Art is charged with implementing the State’s first formal public art program through community sculptures, murals and other works. Commissioners were appointed by Governor O’Malley. The commission is administered by the Maryland State Arts Council, an agency of the Division of Tourism, Film and the Arts within the Department of Business and Economic Development.
