About the Artist
I've been playing guitar since the eighties. I spent a few years in Seattle in the early-mid nineties, immersing my self in the arts scene there. While out West, I added hand drumming and visual arts to my modes of expression. At that time it was mostly colored pencil explorations of conceptual mindscapes. I was able to spend the better part of a summer living in the Redwood forests of Oregon. I had something of a religious conversion experience at a Grateful Dead show, which sent me on a 15 year exploration of various Christian churches in America. After this time, I left the organized church, immersed my self in the Baltimore music and arts scene and renewed my independent search for Love, Truth and Beauty. I've been inspired and encouraged by many local artist friends and have moved into painting with acrylics over the last four years. I had a very educational and productive few months at the Grey Matter Art Space, in 2022. As someone who has struggled (mostly unaware of it) with ADHD, I see my artistic expressions as anchors in this life. They have been a place of refuge where I have been able to conceive and create instantly and spontaneously. This has been a great relief in a life plagued with the inability to produce results in the most mundane areas of life. My desire is to bring light to my self and everyone I encounter, directly or through my art. PeaceFeatured Work
