Alec Pugliese

About the Artist

I'm Alec Pugliese, but friends call me AP. I'm a photographer, videographer, and graphic designer from Baltimore, Maryland. In 2014, I graduated from Towson University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree. In 2016, I co-founded a limited liability company called Human Kindness Productions (HKP) which specializes in digital media creation and event production. Since the company’s establishment, I have worked with a number of musicians, artists, influencers, brands, and organizations to create and produce unique content. Past HKP clients include The All American High School Film Festival, AT&T, IMAX, Fullscreen, Towson University, Maryland State Arts Council, Jostens, Baby Pony Food Productions, WPM Real Estate Management, Anne Arundel County Public Schools, Left of the Dial, Rediscover Fire Booking, and I.M.P., which owns music venues in and around Washington, DC.  

Artist's Statement

My passion lies in documenting vibrant and diverse music scenes, from bands playing in basements to national touring acts playing legendary venues. As a photographer, I capture the raw energy and emotions of live performances, while my videography work enables me to archive the industry by creating captivating music videos, recording live sets, and capturing behind-the-scenes content.Through my graphic design work, I am able to showcase the identity and branding of musical artists and events by creating visuals that are both striking and reflective of the music they represent. My goal as an artist is to capture and showcase the grit, diversity, and vibrancy of the music industry, bringing to light the unique stories and experiences that exist within it. Through my work, I hope to inspire and connect with audiences, and to play a small role in shaping and documenting the ever-evolving landscape of music.
