ANDRE BARNETT

About the Artist

Andre Barnett recently participated in a group show in Annapolis, MD and was also included in the tenth anniversary of the Northern Arts District in Baltimore MD this past summer. His work has been featured in many group shows starting in 1996 to the present: New York, NY; Baltimore, MD; Washington, DC and Richmond, VA. Barnett has been juried into seven competitions: The Maryland Federation of Art, Annapolis, MD; The Capitol Hill Art League, Washington, DC; Touchstone Gallery, Washington, DC; 1212 Gallery, Richmond, Virginia; Ceres, New York, New York and Viridian Artists, New York, New York. Also, Barnett has been featured in seven solo shows the last one at Artspace Gallery, Richmond, Virginia 2008. Barnett’s accolades includes a Honorable Mention - Carroll County Arts Council’s 1st Annual Members’ Exhibit, 2003 and Best in Show - “Art in the Park” Carroll County Arts Council 1998. He holds BA in Art from American University.

I’m a 58-year-old artist dedicated to pursing my creativity. I began to do this in earnest starting in 1997. Always looking for the next opportunity and the next level to take my art.
