About the Artist
Beth Higgins is an artist living and working in Woodbine, MD. She received BA in Studio Arts & Business (double major) from the University of Pittsburgh. She worked as a graphic designer and then opened a home staging business. During Covid she started back to making art full time. The love of nature shows through in most of her work and is currently interested in abstract landscapes. Mainly working in Acrylics with mixed media, but also exploring oil and plein air painting. A main focus is incorporating upcycled material in her work, like vintage ephemera, electrical wires and embossed aluminum cans. She has exhibited at a few local galleries, Highlandtown Gallery, Wheaton Arts Parade Gallery and TAG Frederick.
