About the Artist

My story starts in Wilmington, Delaware where I was raised in a family that greatly appreciated art and learned to use my artistic ability to see what I was gifted in doing.  From there I went to college and received a degree at Towson University with a focus on painting. I found my true love and friend in college, married her, and stayed in the Baltimore metro area. From Maryland I have helped raise a family of four and continue to create paintings and learn what it means to be an artist businessman. I have many passions that I like to paint but the most prevalent is the ocean and its surroundings. I think this has great spiritual meaning to life in general and I try to portray it through my paintings. My style leans towards impressionism to modern art with color and motion to bring out an experience of visual beauty. As a creator I want my paintings to be stories that inspire, encourage, and bring an emotional experience in the beauty that one sees. My desire is to communicate a deeper meaning to living from my own personal touch. My hope is that what I make will bring a new and refreshing site to your daily walk.

As a creator I want my paintings to be visual stories that inspire, encourage, and bring an emotional experience in the beauty that you see. Using leftover paint and not wanting any to be wasted, I was able to put together this "painting" of a blue crab. Big Blue has a modern edgy design of multiple colors splattered within the blue of its shell.
The United States of America is a symbol of opportunity, freedom, and diversity. The great melting pot. Made up of the classic white signifying purity and innocence, red is for sacrifice & valour, and blue, the color of vigilance, perseverance & justice. Here Pieces of Glory are made from dried paint chips and pieces giving a visual of the reality that America is made up of many broken parts, but still shows its beauty when we are all together.
The Coastal Sea Clam is one of the favorite paint mosaics in the shell series. The dynamic darker blues mixed with the ocean greens pop with color. All the ridges and edges from the different shapes and pieces that make up the mosaic add a greater visual vibrancy as if you were looking at the coast itself.
Inspired by living in Maryland and its flag. The pattern and colors are a unique combination from the family crests of the Calvert’s who colonized this state. The Maryland state flag and the blue crab of the Chesapeake Bay are incorporated together in this beautiful addition. It's a dynamic look of red, black, yellow, and white meshed together over a sandy tan background for an ocean feel.
A day at the beach with sun, sand, and salty breezes. The shade from your umbrella gives you and your bestie a place to sit and relax to enjoy the time. Done with the paint mosaic style that gives a visual dynamic feel.

  • Through Bamboo

    This commission was inspired by Japanese styled ink drawings of bamboo. Dried paint pieces and chips were put together to make up the stalks, branches, and leaves. Separate, the pieces are wastes, but together a beautiful painting emerges
