About the Artist
Or better known as "A Guy Named Cook" a recording artist that went to school for audio engineering. In 2017 released an EP titled "Too Weak Notice" on Soundcloud, and held the release party as a charitable event partnering with Dreams for Kids DC (dreamsforkidsdc.org) titled "The ArtS of War" which was held at Hillyer Art Space Gallery in DC. Since then, found more of a passion for building a platform, providing opportunity, and creative collaboration for artist. Focusing back on being a creative architecture and writer, now work on Movie Scripts to highlight some Maryland's diversity and beauty. In addition formed Creators Coalition a creative incubator open to artist of all artistic disciplines. CC provides support, opportunity, and outreach for creative individuals. We host monthly support groups to help the mental obstacles and stresses an artist deals with. To provide a community to nurture the mental illness and loneliness found within our field. Artist development, and more importantly creative space to collaborate and see our visions brought to life. All this seems like more of business bio than mine, however this is what I stand for. Maintaining a life of creative ownership, and being a visionary for new ways to express art and receive it. At 28 I've seen a lot, Maryland born, New Jersey raised, to residing back here in the DMV area I have been molded artistically by the world around me. From days in New York walking from my internship on 49th street by Times Square to 14th street for class, then back for my internship. I have sacrificed for the life to be a creative, to see my art not only shared but also offer an impact. I am creative, I am artistic, and more importantly I am a guy named Cook who will leave a legacy in this world we live in through art.Cook Marcus website View Website Cook Marcus website View Gallery
