About the Artist
Cortney is one half of the music couple and business BlaqueStone LLP. They use
music, performing arts and outreach to connect artistry with community. With their
music infused with soul, hip hop, jazz.and funk, BlaqueStone promotes reality and
positivity with a good foot tap all in one! The duo's live band is an experience of its own.
The couple consists of rapper/singer/songwriter and producer Nyne (Marcus Webster).
The other half is singer/ lyricist/songwriter Cortney Knight, known as Queen. Cortney
and Marcus also teach head wrap sessions! This is another beautiful way to connect to
yourself and history. BlaqueStone has traveled up and down the east coast and has
received a positive response.
BlaqueStone has a heart for outreach and homelessness .The couple was able to
speak about this issue live with Revolt TV in New York City. With reviews and positive
feedback from NPR, WUSA 9, One Love Massive, SoFar Sounds, AfroPunk, TeamBack
Pack etc., and their video being accepted to BET soul channel, BlaqueStone is a strong
and positive force moving. BlaqueStone has committed their music, time and lives to
