About the Artist
Daniel Stuelpnagel has participated in more than 100 exhibitions coast to coast since 1998, and recently completed a two-year residency at Mill Centre Artist Studios in Hampden.
His creative career pursuits have taken him from Washington, DC to San Francisco, from Burning Man to the Galápagos Islands of Ecuador, Bologna, Barcelona and Maui among other inspiring destinations.
The artist has donated dozens of paintings in fund-raising for children’s arts education and literacy, housing for the disabled, public television, cancer treatment research and hospice care for terminal AIDS patients, the installed collection of the new Ronald McDonald House in Baltimore, the Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) program, and the Art Connection in the Capital Region (ACCR).
Stuelpnagel was the 2017 featured artist for TEDxJHU at Johns Hopkins University.
In 2018 his geometric abstractions received a museum notification as a PAMM PICK from the curator of the Perez Art Museum of Miami.
His solo exhibition, Magmatronic, takes place at The Alchemy Of Art gallery in Fells Point in September 2019.
The artist has recently created and installed commission collections for Washington Property Company of Bethesda, MOI Baltimore, Miles & Stockbridge and RPI Consultants.

Artist's Statement
These dynamic paintings refer to the architecture of the built environment and structures of new technology as these elements have altered the planet and human psychology with an increasingly complex set of tools. The haunting yet colorful images portray a futuristic world in which human civilization is subsumed within the topography of the land mass, surrounded by sea and sky devoid of human artifact.
