I love drawing and painting everything, landscapes, still life, portraits of people and animals. I love exploring the abstract concepts within realism. Looking for the basic shapes and letting the brush marks capture the moment is what creates the feeling of a scene. I want to capture wonderful landscapes before they are gone. Working in Plein air has taught me to simplify, see what is important and do it with passion. This is an adventure that I want to share through my art.

Artist's Statement
I see art as an expression of the miracles that surround us. Every day, people get into cars and are so intent on getting to where ever that they fail to see the sunset, the beauty of the new snow fall or baby goslings. Portraiture is capturing a moment in the time of a loved one, be it a spouse, child, parents, or pet. Capturing a moment in time through Plein Air is telling the story of the world around us.Featured Work
