About the Artist
Ana Emily Garcia received her B.F.A and M.A. Ed from the University of Maryland. She currently lives in Silver Spring, Maryland, where she owns and operates an online art and stationery shop called Wittle Spoonie. Emily’s current work focuses on spreading awareness for chronic conditions such as Fibromyalgia. Both paintings and crafts are designed to be relatable, allowing sufferers to feel seen and heard. As well as sharing her own experiences with the condition. Her other work empahsizes on promoting joy and creativity. For the past 3 years, Emily has taken her online shop to over 35 festivals and other events. Where she participated in the Terp Expo at UMD. Here, she won community champion - a business that has the most impact in the local community.
