Art is a medium for many emotions- pain, joy, love, hate, awe- every facet of the human experience. If done passionately, art can manifest the intangible (emotional, spiritual, and mental) into the physical realm in a palatable package for the receiver. Creating physical, digital, and literary artworks can unleash inhibited emotions and free them from the cages of our subconscious into the open air and other open hearts.

I am on a journey of fully releasing mine by creating works that inspire, galvanize, touch, teach, and (hopefully) bridge interpersonal gaps within my many communities.

About the Artist

The stories we tell can shape our world. As an artist, I strive to craft visual and literary works that bring meaning and perspective to the human condition.   My art is driven by passion and purpose. I create vibrant paintings and mixed-media pieces that give form to the intangible—emotions, spirituality, and thoughts. My art tells stories of struggle, strength, pain, and perseverance that need to be heard.   As a young Black female veteran, minister, wife, and mother, I have a unique perspective shaped by many experiences. My art aims to translate those experiences into stories that uplift, inspire, and spark conversations. My paintings capture moments of joy and triumph amid adversity, reflecting the complexities and contrasts of the human spirit.   My literary works seek to give voice to the unheard and unseen. My debut self-published book delves into identity, faith, and mental health themes within the Black community. I am currently working on my second book.

The fourth pane in a four-part piece on the emotional, spiritual, and mental turmoil that we, as a community, experienced when the panic of COVID first hit. Currently housed at the DC Dream Center.
The other three panels for the multi-pane piece on COVID-19 stressors and aids. These panels have not yet been re-painted on canvas.
Compilation art piece for the "You Go Girl" Women's Conference. I wanted to create something that represented a facet of every woman in different stages to illustrate a theme of collective feminine unity. This piece was awarded to a young lady from the conference.
A multi-media art piece that I created as a prophetic illustration of God's restoration. This piece is now housed at the City of God church in Edgewood, MD (on loan) as an inspirational and encouraging statement piece.
An autobiographical literary work about my journey of rewinding the clock and reclaiming my God-given destiny. Like Eve before she ever bit the apple.
