About the Artist

Hi! I’m Gail. I use my artwork as a vehicle for creating awareness, posing questions, and for making statements on various social issues. My creative process is anchored in a consistent, intuitive approach to being present in the now. I live immersed in the flow of creation, incorporating what comes into my stream of consciousness {intellectually, emotionally and/or physically} into my artwork. As a multi-disciplinary artist, my paintings, photography and assemblage have been shown in the Sewall-Belmont House and Museum, the National Cathedral, The Invitational Gallery at Strathmore, BlackRock Center for the Arts, in addition to multiple galleries, and art centers throughout North America. My painting, Gustav’s Quilt I, won first place in the “Introspective Images” exhibition in Bethesda, MD in 2004. My work is held in multiple private collections throughout the United States and has appeared in the Washington Post. When I am not in the studio, I enjoy reading, watching NOVA (because I’m a big dork with a rock collection), and hiking around the world with my three incredible children. Also, I have a thing for plants. How about you? Thoughts? Comments? Lessons? Commissions? Drop me a line at gail@gailpeck.com. I would love to hear from you!
