Many of my recent artworks are based on observations of people both at home and abroad. The dynamism of human movement, passing of time, the energy of our ever-changing lives and interaction of people are a focus of these paintings. Dance, play, music, walking, running, cycling, becoming lost in a crowd and being alone, all are inspirations for my work. Life, time and people do not stand still, and I strive to capture those moments in time.

Much of my work is in series, sometimes starting with a digital painting and interpreting images into paint and prints. I begin with photos from my personal travels and experiences and layer multiple images to create a digital painting. I then lift visual sections of the digital painting and break up the images into multiple panels that are presented as individual images or multi-sectioned compositions.Featured Work

Dancing With Gees Bend, Pink

This painting is inspired by a trip to an exhibit of Gees Bend quilts, where my granddaughter got so excited with the graphic images, she began to dance in the gallery. This is one in a series based on that moment. This painting, along with the others in the series were originally planed by painting and photographing the quilt designs and then importing those images into Procreate on my iPad and superimposing a digital painting of dancing children onto the quilt designs.
