About the Artist

I am a freelance writer, illustrator, and arts teacher based out of Columbia, MD. In the past, I've taught anime and manga classes with the Howard County Department of Parks and Recreation, as well as working with the nonprofit arts org Art Way Alliance. I also create the online series TALES FROM ELECTRICOPOLIS, about the life and career of a game show host in an isolated, entertainment-obsessed city. I've also illustrated my husband's "scary story for elected officials," INCUMBENCY SKELETON, and I take commissions on a regular basis. Artist's Statement

I have a deep connection to the characters I work with in my art and writing. They speak to me and I speak to them. We work together, on the page or on the screen, and as a result they make my artwork stronger. I hope to bring out their best sides this way, because they bring out the best in me.
