I am passionate about the power of public art to spark conversation, build community connection and inspire passersby (especially to pursue their own creative passions). I was born and raised in DC and have been lucky enough to pursue a creative career in mural painting. By painting over 30 murals, I have seen the power of large scale art to tell important stories, make an area a destination and/or landmark, and bring light, color and vibrancy to our collective public space. There is a lot of power in the creator when putting anything in the public space, and I believe creating works with intention, purpose and quality is critical in this process.
