About the Artist

Seth Ebersole is a jazz saxophonist, composer, and educator residing in Waldorf, MD. Seth moved to Southern Maryland in late 2022. He has had success as a freelance musician, having appeared and recorded with such world-renown artists as Etienne Charles, Terell Stafford, and Justin Lee-Schultz. In 2018, Seth released his debut record “Sometimes I’m Happy” featuring performances from Rodney Whitaker, Diego Rivera, and Randy Napoleon. The next year, he premiered “In Absentia,” a suite of original music with a tour through the midwest culminating in a live recording session at the Robin Theatre in Lansing, MI. He is currently in production of his followup record, “Dear Emily” inspired by the works of Emily Dickinson.  Seth serves as the baritone saxophonist with the USAF Band Airmen of Note. Previously, he served as Jazz Artist in Residence at Saginaw Valley State University in University Center, MI. He holds a Masters in Jazz Studies from Michigan State University College of Music and is an Endorsing Artist for Selmer Paris Saxophones. He was mentored by Dick Oatts of the Vanguard Jazz Orchestra as well as the great tenor saxophonists, Diego Rivera and Timothy Warfield Jr. Seth continues to perform regionally and nationally.
