About this Organization
The Actors’ Center (AC), founded in 1981, is a non-profit membership and service organization that was founded by actors in Washington, DC, Maryland, and Virginia. It is a membership community of cultural and performing artists that include actors who are both professional and non-professional as well as those actors who are union and non-union. Our members work in theater, TV, radio, film, internet, narration, voice-over, improv, and more. We also have a casting associate membership for directors, producers, and casting agents. AC aims to help actors pursue their personal and professional goals through workshops and training opportunities; foster positive relationships with key players in the industry through networking; and connect members to auditions and casting opportunities in the DMV. We are committed to advancing the artistic excellence of our members through high quality arts education programming.
