About this Organization
The Art League of Ocean City is a non-profit organization that features a spacious two-story gallery, a pottery studio, online and in-person classes, art library, and five working artist studios. The galleries display new exhibits of regional and local artists monthly, some of whom are Art League of Ocean City members. Exhibits kick off with an opening reception from 5-7 PM on the first Friday of each month. The receptions, as with all of our activities, are open to the public. In addition, we offer online and in-person workshops for artists of all ages and skill levels, a summer art camp program, and community events like our Plein Air Painting Competition, Sand Castle Home Tour, and the Ocean City Film Festival. Affordable community meeting space, with beautiful views of the bay, is available for rent for your next gathering. The Center for the Arts owes its success to many dedicated Art League of Ocean City members and volunteers who give of their time and talents. We welcome you to join our team and get involved. The Art League of Ocean City offers several free art classes to the community.
Our "Art & Soul" program is funded by Amerigroup and is geared towards those dealing with stress, trauma or grief with projects designed to focus on centering and healing.
Our "Free Family Art Day" and "Creative Kids" classes are funded by the Donnie Williams Foundation and allow families to create unique and fun art projects together.
We offer free classes to developmentally delayed adults at the Worcester County Developmental Center with funding provided by Amerigroup.
We also offer "Diversity" kid's classes instructed by our 2021 Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion fellow, Ash'iz Cuffee.
