About this Organization
The Cultural Academy for Excellence, Inc. (CAFE) is a youth-based program, which uses the performing arts as the catalyst to develop the passion and discipline for learning, leadership and academic achievement. CAFE has a strong commitment to the achievement of equity and inclusion among its staff and students and we value the rich diverse backgrounds that make up the CAFE community. CAFE is an award-winning, music-based art-in-education and life-skills enrichment program for youth that began as an enticement for youth to stay in school, keep out of trouble and perform. The Cultural Academy for Excellence, Inc. CAFE is an award-winning, music-based art-in-education and life-skills enrichment program for youth that began as an enticement for youth to stay in school, keep out of trouble and perform well academically. Over the years, CAFE has provided more than 1,000 youth and 250 adults with culturally-based enrichment activities facilitated by qualified educators and professional musicians. The program has grown significantly over the past two years and currently has on-site and online programming.
