Founded as a “free” theatre in 1971, Theatre Project traditionally hosts more than 200 performances and related activities including workshops and classes, post-show discussions, and gallery receptions each year. We are a place for artists to experiment, succeed, sometimes fail, but always grow.
Hopkins Symphony Orchestra provides excellent orchestra concerts and performance opportunities for the JHU and surrounding communities. The mission of Johns Hopkins University is to educate its students and cultivate their capacity for life-long learning, to foster independent and original research, and to bring the benefits of discovery to the world. Vision & Goals Hopkins Symphony Orchestra’s vision is to be an integral presence in the JHU and surrounding communities as Baltimore City’s only community orchestra.
Children’s Theatre of Annapolis (CTA) is a community-based, 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to nurturing the growth and development of the love of theatre in children age 5 to 18, through participation in all aspects of the theatrical experience, including performance, workshops, technical elements, community involvement, and apprenticeships. CTA provides a positive circle of influence through friendships that foster self-esteem, creativity, commitment, teamwork, appreciation, and dedication. CTA serves the child and the community.
Since its founding in 1982, the Maryland Symphony Orchestra’s influence and reputation has reached far beyond Western Maryland. It is one of only four professional symphony orchestras in Maryland and audience members from South Central Pennsylvania, West Virginia’s Eastern Panhandle, the Shenandoah Valley of Virginia and the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan area are drawn to concerts held at the historic Maryland Theatre in downtown Hagerstown.
