Katrina Griffis, is a Maryland-based artist that captures the beauty of Black women through contemporary art. Katrina aspires to create art that sparks conversation, celebrates Black beauty with art that focuses on our visage. Katrina is a passionate advocate for social justice and representation. A self described AI Collaborative Artist, Katrina embraces all the positive aspects of the controversial practice of using generative art in the visual art world. Her artwork is a fusion of human creativity and artificial intelligence, which allows her to craft unique and innovative artworks.

I am a visual artist, much of my work is African/Afro-American influenced, focusing on the relationships between mother and child. I take immense pleasure in building foundations between myself and the physical properties of found materials. Most recently, my work is created from natural resources and recycled plastics. I am the proprietor of Anything Is Possible Inc, a non-profit organization focusing on artistic revitalization. I am a graduate of St. Mary’s College of Maryland, and the American Montessori Society.
SoMar Drummers is a 501(c)(3) Nonprofit Incorporation, propelling the percussive arts into the next generation. Throughout the year, we host multiple FREE Master Classes, Workshops, Clinics, Mini-Camps and Sessions across the entire percussion spectrum.
Two-time Nebula Award-winner Fran Wilde has published eight novels, a poetry collection, and over 70 short stories for adults, teens, and kids. Her stories have been finalists for six Nebula Awards, a World Fantasy Award, four Hugo Awards, four Locus Awards, and a Lodestar. They include her Nebula- and Compton Crook-winning debut novel Updraft, and her Nebula-winning, Best of NPR 2019, debut Middle Grade novel Riverland. Her short stories appear in Asimov’s Science Fiction, Tor.com, Beneath Ceaseless Skies, Shimmer, Nature, Uncanny Magazine, and multiple years' best anthologies.
I am a female illustrative artist, who is interested in symbolical and nouveau-inspired art. I have experience working in multiple mediums including printmaking, illustration, digital, and painting. I am a passionate advocate for mental health and wellbeing.
Charley Williams is a Maryland based artist who creates illustration and large scale colored pencil works.
I have been making pottery since a class in college where I finally figured out why I was born with large hands. I learned quickly and have continued to hone my skills. I planned on working as a marine biologist but my love of working in clay led me to make a career change. I have not looked back. My work has evolved over the years. It is inspired by the natural environment, both terrestrial and marine. I throw and/or hand build my functional work in stoneware and some decorative work in raku clay and glazes.
Patrice Thompson is an artist from St. Mary’s County. She is a Middle School Art Teacher. Her skill level is in multiple mediums. She is a graduate of University of Maryland Eastern Shore and Webster University. BA, MBA
Merideth Taylor received a formal MFA equivalency in theater and dance from Southern Illinois University in 1980 based on her professional performing arts experience. She went on to a long career in higher education and currently is professor emerita of theater and dance at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. She was a founding member of the African and African Diaspora Studies and Women Studies Programs at St. Mary’s and has taught in both programs in addition to teaching in, and chairing, the Department of Theater Film and Media Studies.
Ann Wheeler, Driftwood Artist, I transform natural driftwood into beautiful and functional art for home interior and outdoor décor. Each piece is customized and finished by hand. My artwork includes driftwood designs by hand, etched glass, photos of wildlife, and outdoor decorative designs. I can customize a piece of driftwood or etch glass, for a special one-of-a-kind look.
