Artist StatementMy scarves are hand-woven on a ten-harness Macomber loom with merino wools and wool-silk blends, and using a combination of plain-weave and tapestry techniques. The basic layout, yarns, and colors of each scarf are worked out beforehand, but I riff on the design and introduce additional elements so that each scarf has an informality and identity that is all its own. Each is numbered. No two are the same.
