Lindsay Pichaske sculpts animals made of clay, feathers, paint, sequins, dyed flower petals and other materials at Red Dirt Studios in Gateway A&E District and recently received an MSAC Individual Artist Award of $6,000.
A native of both Hyattsville and Capitol Hill, Pichaske studied studio art at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill before earning her MFA in ceramics from University of Colorado, Boulder. You can meet Lindsay and see her work at the 10th annual Gateway Open Studio Tour, featuring 70 studios and more than 150 artists on Saturday, May 10 from 12:00-5:00pm.
