Founded in 1986, CREATE Arts Center is a nonprofit arts organization whose mission is to spark creativity, foster learning, empower individuals, and facilitate community connections through the visual arts. Located in downtown Silver Spring, CREATE offers a wide variety of visual arts programming (both onsite and online) for adults and children. Programs include art therapy (both group and individual), art classes and workshops, and art camps for children. Additionally, CREATE curates the Tamar Hendel Gallery, named for our founder, which showcases a variety of 2-D and 3-D artworks from artists across the region.
