Our vision comes from what surrounds us, what is created for man and well perceived by people.
As artists, we expect our art to evoke emotions that most positively convey the energy of creation around us.
This is why we use raw "living" wool fibers, which come from the energy of life in themselves and which include a reflection of everything we want to transmit. Wool fibers are taken from a living animal, and this is an initially organic idea.

About the Artist

Alla Borovskaia and Milana Borovskaia are Maryland-based artist duo. Alla Borovskaia has been working in the field of art and design for over 30 years. Their artistic practice consists of creating large scale wall sculptural installations, wall and freestanding sculptures, and mixed media. They create their works using unique signature techniques, processes and combinations, which makes their works special and reveals the scale of the movement of color, shape and energy! Over the years, Alla and Milana have exhibited their art in Italy, Eastern Europe and in galleries in the United States.

We selected natural flowers and delicately combined with fibers to create the feeling of spring when these flowers blossomed everywhere in Maryland!  We combine incompatibility by incorporating resin into shapeless fibers and natural local flowers!
The time of a pandemic may seem like a shackle, but we turned our eyes to see the Freedom from stereotypes in a pandemic time!
During the pandemic, the sky, sunsets, and sunrises, endless expanses and mountains remained, so need to go beyond the usual framework and see the beauty of nature, which we can absorb even in very difficult times!
When life stops, the colors disappear...we can give up, or we can see the gain of power in black! And the horse of power carries us away from the black, so that we can again see the colors of life!
When we creating a composition “Cactus Flowers” ​​consisting of wall sculptures and many small elements, as well as freestanding sculpture, we were inspired by a blooming cactus. The art composition consists of more than 150 elements and each element reflects our creative vision and interpretation. Each person looking at the composition “Cactus Flowers” ​​will be able to find their own meaning and inspiration, especially in difficult periods of life, this composition helps to survive difficulties by reminding you that despite difficult environmental conditions, cacti are very stable and hardy, while their flowers have an incredible variety and beauty! The process of creating our sculptures is multi-stage and time-consuming. We worked by hand creating color transitions, shapes, curves from shapeless fibers of natural wool. The sculptures have a very textured and tactile surface, similar to natural suede.
Each rose in this work can be viewed separately and on each flower the paint retains the natural curves of the natural flower, which is packed between wool fibers.  The color field was not chosen by chance, it creates a special emotion, which is designed to evoke a response from everyone.
