Artist's Statement
I find inspiration in nature and in daily life. My current series, “Portraits of Home,” layers charcoal to create floral representations of the places I lived. The plants and flowers in each piece are symbolic, representing the actual flora that grew and the emotions that are tied to each place I have called home.
