About the Artist

Biography Art for Ania is a personal journey of wholeness, self-discovery, and spiritual fulfillment. Through her artwork she continues to discover her authentic self, her purpose and meaning of her existence here on Earth. Born and raised in Krakow, Poland behind the Iron Curtain of Communism until the age of 13, Ania always felt a great divide between the luxurious, colorful and rich beauty of her native culture and the imposed “sameness” and dullness of the oppressive Communist Regime. She often escaped the dreariness of her every-day life to Krakow’s Old Town Art District where she wandered the halls of spectacular churches and galleries and looked upon works of famous Polish and international artists. Her artistic journey began only about 10 years ago, but since then, Art has become her life's passion and purpose.  Revealing her innermost feelings and thoughts through her paintings, Ania hopes to create an emotional connection with those around her, as well as, the Universe.  With her unique style of art; her passionate, expressive and raw energy, she has gained many admirers of her work and with her deeply personal and open engagement with her supporters she has gained many new friends. Ms. Milo is an extremely prolific painter having created hundreds abstracts, pet portraits, and other paintings in various genres. Being a self-taught artist, she continually explores different painting styles, techniques and mediums.  Ania holds a Bachelor Degree in Linguistics with a concentration in Russian. She has earned a Master of Art degree in Leadership in Teaching and Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. She is a PhD candidate in Industrial and Organizational Psychology. Founder of Date With Paint – painting events company. Designs and maintains websites and numerous Social Media sites for both companies. Handles all publicity and promotions. Utilizes many aspects of social media including: Tumblr, Pinterest, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn and Instagram. Currently and has over 2,600 followers. Successfully established and developed a growing international customer base via the internet with over 2M “hits” on Google Search.  Created a clothing line with images of original artwork at www.ShopVida.com/AniaMilo. Researches and networks with fine art professionals. Produces Art exhibitions featuring local artists. Leads painting events, handles participants registration, payments and communication. Designs display sets up at festivals Chairs a local community Art Committee.  

Artist's Statement

My soul whirls with powerful energy filled with colorful and vivid images; I paint to release that raw force. With paintbrush and paint, I bring onto the canvas bright, fluid and powerful images that transcend the World around me. My paintings are exuberant and full of my adventurous and courageous spirit. They flow with primal energy and passion and are a celebration of the awakening of my Authentic Self. My Art is a way of Thanking the Universe for the extraordinary gift that has been given to me at a moment in my life when I needed it most. Working with oils, acrylics and different thickening agents, I create art that appears almost three-dimensional, which, I think, makes it more powerful. As the images inside my soul compel me to bring them to life, I am filled with an urgency to allow the color explode onto the canvas. In that moment, I experience a deep spiritual awakening and my soul is set free into a world where anything is possible and no boundaries exist. As I continue to work, I sense how the final painting will look like; I feel it; I know it. It builds and develops in front of my eyes and as I finish; I give it life
