Anita Hagan works as both a printmaker in linoleum block relief, and as a mixed media artist. Her unique technique of combining block prints with gold leaf, beading, acrylic paint, found object and paper collage creates a powerful and vibrant work of art bursting with color and movement. In each piece, the brushstrokes are matched with the strong line and pattern of the carved block. Anita is inspired both by the natural world and the human spirit, and creates her unusual pieces in a small cottage on the Chesapeake Bay of Maryland. Her works are collected throughout the United States and Europe.
