Ashley Davenport

About the Artist

Ashley Davenport is a freelance graphic artist born and raised in Prince George’s County, Maryland who recently relocated back to the Mid-Atlantic coast,  from California. Her artistic abilities were recognized early and as she became of age, her aspirations were to pursue a career as an artist.  Sketching and illustration led to her interest in painting, which has remained an ongoing pastime. Winning her 1st blue ribbon award as a first grader attending Thomas G. Pullen Magnet School of Performing Arts, Ashley was acknowledged for illustrating a children’s book for a District storybook contest at grade level. Prior study includes pursuit of a Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Design at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, CA and AA in Business Administration earned at SNHU. Over the years, Ashley’s interests and skillsets have broadened beyond freehand illustration and painting, to print design, art directing, photography and the culinary arts. Ashley’s affection for vivid colors, introspection and love for the creative process, is passionately expressed in her though-provoking compositions, capturing the essence of life experiences w/a didactic undertone. Through her aspirations of entrepreneurial business ownership, she hopes to impact the lives of others serving as a creative catalyst, aiming to foster and cultivate their inner artist, unveiling the harmonious connection to the world around them.
