About the Artist
Bob Jacobson is a versatile musician on saxophones, clarinet and flute (in that order). He has played in many genres, primarily jazz. He leads the jazz combos Sounds Good, Swing 'N' Samba, Jazz Clarinets Galore and Home Cookin'. All have guitar or piano plus sax or clarinet as their nucleus. with the ability to add bass, drums, vocals and other horns. They all play mainstream (or classic) jazz, including blues, ballads, swing, Brazilian, Latin and other styles; both standards and original tunes. Bob also developed the Jazz for Kids program for Baltimore Jazz Alliance and plays sax and clarinet in the program. Bob has been a licensed street entertainer in Baltimore City since that program's inception & (in warm weather) plays frequently at the Waverly Farmers Market, late Saturday mornings.
Bob's performance history is vast and varied, with venues spanning a wide range from the street to restaurants and weddings.
He led a trio at Donna's Café for eight years.
