About the Artist

Artist Statement My name is Benjamin Baugham; artist name Boy Blue. I am a traditional ink artist by passion and a chalk artist by calling. I have never been formally trained in the arts but I have been divinely gifted with the ability to communicate with others. I devote all my art to Christ, not necessarily in subject but always in my intention. My ink on canvas expresses the darker parts of our nature as people; how complex our flaws can be and how beautiful they become when explained and redeemed. My chalk on pavement expresses the innocence I get to see in each person I talk to. The medium is simple and draws the same response out of the audience: curiosity, a bit of inherent familiarity, and hope. I will always talk with you about my work, because I believe our conversation, the one between two divinely created people, will be more important than anything I can come up. The audience and the artist will always surpass the work.
