About the Artist
Award winning Orator, Poet, and Spoken Word Artist, Brenda Bunting is the author of Poems of Love and Violence In Between Life and Death. She has her master’s in teaching from New York University. She is a Literary Leader in Prince George's County, MD, and a life member of the Kentucky State Poetry Society. Brenda has been a panelist and workshop facilitator widely published in print and online in anthologies and other forums. She advocates for racial, social, and environmental justice and for the therapeutic use of writing poetry for mental and emotional wellness and healing from traumatic events. She has been a featured poet in articles on cable television, Blog talk Radio, and internet magazines. Copyright: Poet retains the copyright of all aspects of the final original work of poetry requested by the Organizer that is created by the Poet, including all rewrites and revisions and reproduction rights. No work may be reproduced by Organizer without the prior written approval by the Poet.
Marketing: The Poet agrees to be included in marketing and informational materials and handouts including posters, fliers, programs and other materials produced by the Organizer for the event. This inclusion is permitted by utilizing the Poet’s submitted and/or approved marketing materials including Poet’s biography and other information.
Cancellation: In the event that either the Organizer or the Poet is unable to fulfill the obligation due to any unforeseen occurrence such as weather rendering the Recital impossible the terms of this agreement still apply as the Organizer will fully compensate the Poet if the Recital is cancelled and the Poet will present the original work to the Organizer sans Recital.

The Organizer and the Poet may utilize audio and video devices to record any and all aspects of the Recital for personal purposes and distribute them through communication and electronic media and also may post them on multimedia websites.
