About the Artist
Brett Hay is a kiln formed glass artist from Huntingtown, Maryland. He was first introduced to glass art when he was still in high school and fell in love with the medium. His inspiration for his work comes from his travels and the world around him. He makes most of his work using the Murrine technique. This involves pulling rods out of a kiln that is heated up to 1500 degrees Fahrenheit. He then chops these rods up and melts them back together before forming them into the final shape.Featured Work
