About the Artist
Graduating from The Jim Henson Center for the Visual and Performing Arts Academy, I've sharpened my skills in various facets of performance, including improv, adaptability, and stage combat, alongside my alto singing abilities.
These skills have propelled me to deliver dynamic performances across both theaters and screens, taking on roles that range from the divine Erzulie in "Once On This Island" to the intricate Dasjahnae in "Make A Change 2 Keep Some Change." My versatility as an actress and singer was highlighted through my portrayal of Amber in "Judge Me Not" at the DC Black Theatre & Arts Festival, where I embraced the challenge of conveying meaningful and complex narratives.
But my passion extends beyond performance. After obtaining my Bachelor's degree in Sociology and stepping into roles such as a Lead Teacher and an Adjunct Professor, I've intertwined my love for the arts with a profound commitment to wellness and community service. This commitment was celebrated when I secured 1st place in the She Boss Talk Black Business Pitch Competition in 2023, an achievement that also marked a significant step in building my wellness community.
At the core of all I do lies a steadfast belief in the power of creativity, spirituality, and connectivity to foster wellness and healing.
I am dedicated to crafting spaces where Black women, in particular, can discover empowerment, purpose, and healing through the arts. My journey is not just about exploring human emotion and experience through my art but also about nurturing a community where individuals can flourish in all aspects of their being. Ultimately, my aim is to enhance community capacity and empower others to reach their highest potential, and contribute by uplifting their community.
