Greetings! I'm Cheri Glover, an artist based in Columbia, MD. My artistic journey is marked by my appreciation for color and design. I'm known for my exploration of shapes, transparencies, and the unusual utilization of positive and negative space to craft unconventional compositions. My creative process begins intuitively, employing acrylic paint on canvas. I relish the flexibility of the medium and the delightful surprises that emerge when colors interact with shapes. Life and nature serve as my muses, reflecting my deep love for both. My ultimate goal is to evoke emotions in others through my art, creating a connection that resonates on a profound level. Having successfully sold my artwork to collectors across the U.S. and having showcased in numerous solo exhibitions in Howard County, I continue to be fueled by my passion for art. I'm going thru a faze where I am captured by the idea of the vase and it's life supporting ability by holding water for cut flowers. The vessel that in a sense is us - our bodies are the vessel and the flowers symbolize our lives which from the outside is beautiful and temporary as long as there is fresh water to sustain the flowers.
