About the Artist
Cori Bowen is a visual artist specializing in acrylic paintings, with a focus on abstract expression and contemporary portraiture. Her work explores the emotional landscapes of color, form, and gesture, inviting viewers into layered narratives that feel both intimate and expansive.
Cori holds a B.F.A in Printmaking from Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA), a foundation that informs her thoughtful composition and dynamic use of surface. Her paintings have been exhibited nationally, and she was recently awarded an Honorable Mention in the 2025 Blossoms of Hope exhibit at the Howard County Arts Council.
Rooted in both intuition and technique, Cori’s work continues to evolve as she experiments with the tension between spontaneity and structure. She currently lives and works in Columbia, MD, where she maintains a studio practice.
