Artist's Statement
Testing the boundaries of natural media, Danielle uses drawing, installation, and performance methods to explore the relationship of the human body with itself. Her current conversation surrounds the figure, rituals of transubstantiation, critiques of capitalism, and the flesh of the female form. Integrating charcoal, fruit, and wine into her dialogue, she is inquiring into the capacity of earthly substances to convey certain most intimate desires of the human subject.
