About the Artist
David Newcomb has been writing for almost sixty years, covering genres that include poetry, plays, a musical, three novels, nonfiction journals on theater and aviation, and a wide range of advocacy pieces for a Washington DC law firm. Retired now and focusing entirely on stage plays, Newcomb has recently completed a history entitled Hercules, Martha, and George, which dramatizes the struggle for freedom by Hercules Posey, President Washington's enslaved chef.
