About the Artist

Dede Wyland - Vocals and Guitar Dede has forged her musical career in the great world of bluegrass music as a nationally and internationally known singer and touring artist. Since moving to the D.C. area, she has been the recipient of 11 Washington Area Music Association Awards for her singing. During her many years as a touring musician, first with ‘Grass, Food & Lodging and then with the internationally known band, Tony Trischka & Skyline, Dede graced the stage of some of America’s most prestigious bluegrass and acoustic music festivals, and has performed in Canada, Australia, France, England, Ireland, Germany, Spain, Sicily, Italy, Scandinavia and Japan. Radio listeners have heard Dede on the nationally broadcast shows A Prairie Home Companion and Mountain Stage, and on Chicago's The Flea Market. Her national television appearances include two installments of The Nashville Network's Fire on the Mountain. But now, with her band The Do-Rights, Dede focuses her energy on her other lifelong musical passion, rock ‘n’ roots country! Dede has joined forces with some of the DC area’s top classic rockers to present their version of this fun and exciting music for which they have a shared passion.   Bill Williams - Guitar and Vocals Multi-instrumentalist Bill Williams, a cream of the crop and in-demand roots rock musician in the DC area, not only wows with his sizzling guitar licks, but also captivates his audiences with an amazing voice that pleases the senses and draws you right into the story. Bill is a veteran of the following widely known and well respected groups based in the Mid-Atlantic metropolitan region (DMV). Kevin Johnson and the Lineman Last Train Home Jelly Roll Mortals Billy Coulter and the Half Smokes.  Scott McKnight - Bass and Vocals You always know the groove is going to be superb when Scott McKnight takes the stage. Scott is also a multi-instrumentalist and veteran of the greater DC area roots rock scene, and his pleasing baritone voice can both deliver a song with great style or beautifully fill out the Do-Right’s trio sound. Scott is a veteran of the following widely known and well respected groups based in the Mid-Atlantic metropolitan region (DMV). Kevin Johnson and the Linemen Last Train Home Jelly Roll Mortals Rand Gardner - Drums Groove Meister Rand Gardner grew up in Los Angeles and was given a snare drum at age one. He’s been banging out rhythms ever since. For the last 20 years he’s played with bands and singer-songwriters in and around the greater Washington DC area. Rock, soul, honky-tonk and classic country are all in his musical DNA. Rand approaches his playing with a fire, focus and finesse that reminds us that great drumming is truly an art. Rand has also played with the following bands located in the DMV. 40 Dollar Fine Ty Braddock & the Loyal Inmates Rand Band

Every member of the Do-Rights is a highly seasoned professional musician and performer with a lifelong passion for this musical form and an almost encyclopedic knowledge of its history and the artists who shaped the style, all of which they love bringing to life and sharing with their listeners!
