Artist's Statement

Born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, Deirdre earned her bachelor’s degree in graphic design at the Rhode Island School of Design. Throughout her professional life, she has worked as a graphic designer, illustrator, fine artist, and textile designer in Boston, Germany, Turkey, and Annapolis. “When I do artwork”, says artist Deirdre Tanton, “I like to make positive images that lift up the spirit — especially through the use of color.”
