Don Dement

About the Artist

Don Dement, a 44-year Annapolis resident, has built upon his early avid interest in photography to become both a professional and a teacher in the field. After a lifetime of film photography, in 1999 he began digital imaging with a rudimentary camera of the day, and since has grown his skills with the advancement of equipment and processes. Don has been teaching photography and editing for 12 years at the Community College, Maryland Hall and AA county Senior Centers, adding courses in organizing and workflow. He is a co-founder of the Digital Photography Club of Annapolis, where over 120 members now share their artistic experiences and technical capabilities. He is a member of the Maryland Federation of Art, Maryland Hall for the Creative Arts, the Annapolis Arts Alliance and the Mitchell Art Gallery. His professional photography includes architecture and real estate, fine art landscapes and seascapes, publications, events, portraits, weddings, and travel.
