From my earliest memories, I have been compelled to express myself creatively. In the spring of 2000, I entered the professional world as an arts and craft designer and author. During this period, I authored three books and was published in magazines and professional publications. I enjoyed working in the design world but became increasingly interested in transitioning to fine art. In 2006, I began earnestly working in oils, watercolors, and pastels. My desire to grow and improve as an artist has led me to a daily painting commitment. Currently, my favorite genres are portraiture and figural works as well as nature studies in oils and watercolor. I live on the Eastern Shore of Maryland and work daily in my studio & enjoy plein air painting as well. I teach oil & watercolor painting in my own studio/classroom & occasionally hold workshops at The Delmarva Discovery Museum. I serve on the board of the Worcester County Arts Council & am a member of The Working Artists Forum, a group for professional 2D artists in Easton, MD.
