Artist's Statement
I perform professionally in the mid-Atlantic region as a highland bagpiper. I also study and research other forms of piping across the British Isles and Europe. I hope to continue to expand both my musical and historical knowledge and repertoire of Celtic music with the aid of an Independent Artist Award. I've recently begun to practice the Irish Uilleann pipes, the Scottish Border pipes and several Medieval reproduction instruments, all of which are lesser known bagpipes that I hope to expose to new audiences in the near future and continue to uphold their musical traditions.
