Artist's Statement
Elizabeth Varner is interested in transformation, reinterpretation, energy, and color in the areas of nature, patterns, portraiture, travel, and fashion. She is an artist based in the Eastern United States with over 20 years of experience. She creates paintings, installation/sculptures, and photography. Her paintings, installations, and sculptures are a powerful merger of abstraction and realism. Even her paint has sculptural elements--bringing the works closer to the viewer's world. Her photography is hyper-realistic and super-saturated to encapsulate the vividness of her composition and energy of the moment.
