About the Artist
Alan is a seasoned producer, director of Photography and sound designer.
After his departure from nearly ten years under contract with the United States Department of Defense’ Radio and Television Production Office (RTPO) in 2015, he founded Hi Pro Productions & Media, in Historic Ellicott City, Maryland and dedicated most of his work developing content for television as well as helping Non-Profits and Corporate clients with documentary-style video production.
His short film “Picture Perfect” was selected at the 2017 DC Indie film festival and was nominated for “Best Short”. It also received an Emmy nomination by the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
His feature documentary “The Man Who Lived Twice” premiered in March 2018 at the Guadalajara Film Festival in the presence of its co-founder, Oscar winning director Guillermo Del-Toro.
His food and culture series “Grandma’s Kitchen” was filmed in seven European countries in the summer of 2017 and 2019 is currently distributed by Film House Int’l, a Canadian firm.
Alan’s audio mixing and sound design appeared on Discovery ID, Bravo, Cooking Channel, Travel Channel, BET and TVOne.
Alan is honored with seven Emmys from the National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter of The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
