Post COVID, we are adjusting to A NEW NORMAL and learning to enjoy the life again. When it comes to reclaiming the joy of life, we should start with taking care of ourselves, making an effort to be nice to each other, and enjoying what WE LOVE AND ADMIRE. Painting is a therapeutic activity that promotes relaxation, stress relief, and a sense of calm.
About the Artist
Gayane Minasyan is a painter and collage artist whose prolific work focuses on showing the beauty of women and portraiture. She first turned to art to help relieve the stress and loneliness of disconnecting from social life, losing a dear friend and watching her native country of Armenia enter into a war, all during the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, and has quickly turned her work into a statement about the power of art to share messages of hope, faith and beauty. Since personally benefiting from the art therapy process, Minasyan completed the Art Therapy Practitioner course (IPHM, CMA, CPD) in January 2022, and now teaches group and individual art therapy classes, with the goal of helping all ages, especially seniors, find a way to connect their bodies, minds and souls through their creativity.Featured Work
