About the Artist
Working in oils, pastels, watercolor, and acrylic, Janice Frederick creates paintings that include figurative, landscape, and still-life subjects, as well as abstracts. Her primary focus is portrait painting from life. She paints outdoors for her "plein air" landscapes or cityscapes. Her abstract work is derived from memory and imagination.

She is a member of Maryland Pastel Society, The Portrait Society of America, Mid-Atlantic Plein Air Painters Association, and The Working Artists Forum.
