About the Artist

From California Maryland……… A school bus driver by day, Jay Armsworthy has made it his life’s passion to keep the flame of Southern Maryland’s Bluegrass heritage as a bandleader, radio host, and promoter.  Jay has spanned over 2 decades with his radio show, Bluegrass on the Bay, heard on 7 stations.  He hosts many concert series, fundraisers, and festivals in Southern Maryland.  Jay Armsworthy and his band, Eastern Tradition are beloved performers throughout the Chesapeake Bay region and along the East Coast.  To date, they have 4 CD’s including their most recent all recording on the Patuxent Music Record label, titled, "My Best Friend".
